Why you don’t see the "Manage Plan" button in your account

BioRender’s subscription management features are designed to give you control over your billing preferences. If you’re trying to update or cancel your plan but don’t see the "Manage Plan" button, it may be due to changes in your account status, subscription type, or administrative permissions.

How to check your plan status in BioRender

To identify why the "Manage Plan" button may be missing, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your BioRender account here.

  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  3. Select "Edit Profile & Settings " from the dropdown menu.

  4. In the "Plan & Billing" tab, check your current plan status.

    You will not see the "Manage Plan" button if:

    • Free Trial or personal subscription has already been cancelled.

    • You are on a Team/Lab Plan where billing is managed by another user (typically the Admin).

    • Your account is part of an institutional license (e.g., through a university or organization).

  5. If you believe you are on a personal plan but see an institutional license listed in your billing section, please reach out to support@biorender.com for assistance.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the 'Manage Plan' button missing?

  • The button is only available to users on an active Free Trial or paid individual subscription. You will not see the button if your plan is already canceled, if you’re on a Team or Lab Plan managed by someone else, or if you're covered by an institutional license.

I joined an institutional license. Should I still see 'Manage Plan?

  • Not if your account has been transitioned to the institutional license. Your personal subscription may have been replaced. If you believe you should still be on a personal plan, but see institutional billing instead, please reach out to our support team.
