How to change your billing cycle during a Free Trial

BioRender’s 14-day free trial gives you access to Premium features so you can explore the platform before committing to a paid subscription. If you selected the wrong billing cycle, monthly or yearly, you can easily adjust it by canceling your trial and reactivating with your preferred plan settings.


How to change your billing cycle during the Free Trial

  1. Log in to your BioRender account.

  2. Click your name in the top-right corner and select "Plan & Billing".

  3. Under your current trial plan, click "Cancel Plan" to prevent automatic upgrade at the end of the trial.

  4. Confirm cancellation. Your trial will continue until the end of the 14-day period.

  5. Once your account reverts to BioRender Basic, return to the "Plan & Billing" tab.

  6. Click "Upgrade" and select the correct Premium plan.

  7. Choose your preferred billing cycle: Monthly or Yearly.

  8. Enter payment details if prompted, and confirm the upgrade.

💡 You will continue to have full access to Premium features during the 14-day trial, even after canceling. Whether you are on a Monthly or Annual Trial, the Premium features will not change and are exactly the same.


Frequently asked questions

Will canceling the trial stop my access to Premium features?

  • No. You'll retain full Premium access until the 14-day trial expires.

Can I reactivate the trial after canceling?

  • No, once your Free Trial has been used, it cannot be reactivated. Canceling simply sets it to expire at the end of the 14-day period.

Why don’t I see the Free Trial button again after canceling?

  • If your trial has ended or was previously used, the option will not appear. 

What if I forget to change my billing cycle before the trial ends?

  • If you don’t update your billing cycle before the 14-day trial ends, your account will automatically upgrade based on the originally selected option (monthly or yearly).
  • While BioRender plans are prepaid and non-refundable in most cases, you can contact Support to for a review. Please note that refunds are only considered for the most recent charge and in cases of billing error or confirmed service issues.
