If you've made changes to an illustration and want to revert to an earlier version, BioRender automatically saves your work every few seconds. These versions are stored in your Version History and can be accessed anytime from both the Canvas and the Gallery.
This article will walk you through how to recover a previous version of an illustration using both methods.
Recover a previous version from the canvas
- Click File in the top-left menu bar.
- Select Version History.
- Browse the saved versions to locate the one you’d like to restore.
- Click Make a copy of this version.
- A new copy of that version will be added to your Gallery.
Recover a previous version from the gallery
- Navigate to your Gallery and locate the desired illustration.
- Click the three dots (•••) on the right-hand side of the illustration tile.
- Select Version History from the dropdown menu.
- Browse the list of saved versions.
- Click Make a copy of this version.
- A copy of the selected version will be saved to your Gallery.
