If you want to modify a file while preserving the original version, you can easily create a copy in BioRender. This guide explains how to duplicate a file from both the Canvas and the Gallery.
How to make a copy from the canvas
- Open the file you want to copy in the Canvas.
- In the top toolbar, click File > Make a Copy.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Click View Copy to open the new version.
- Click Stay Here to remain in the original file.
- The duplicate file will automatically be saved in your Gallery.
How to make a copy from the gallery
- Navigate to your Gallery.
- Locate the file you want to duplicate.
- Click the three dots (•••) on the right-hand side of the file.
- Select Make a Copy.
- The new copy will be added to your Gallery.
