BioRender Free Trials last 14 days, after which they auto-upgrade to a paid subscription. Cancel within this window to avoid charges.
Steps to cancel your Free Trial:
- Access your account page: Click on your name in the top-right corner and select "Edit Profile & Settings".
- Navigate to the Plan & Billing tab.
- Manage plan: Click "Manage plan".
- Proceed with cancellation: Click "Continue" and "Cancel plan" and follow the prompts to provide feedback.
- Final confirmation: Click the red cancel subscription button to cancel your free trial.
Your trial will end at the 14-day mark, preventing future charges. We will email you 7 days before your trial ends as a reminder. Please ensure you check your spam or junk mail folder for the reminder.
Alternatively, you can also subscribe before the trial ends to begin a paid plan immediately.
What happens if you don't cancel in time?
If your trial auto-renews, your card will be charged for the next billing cycle.
Can you get a refund?
While BioRender plans are prepaid and non-refundable in most cases, our team can review your request under specific circumstances.
If you forgot to cancel in time:
- Submit a request via support@biorender.com
- Include your email and cancellation details.
⚠️ We understand that things get busy, but please note that forgetting to cancel your free trial may not qualify for a refund.
Important information about refunds
BioRender subscriptions are prepaid and generally non-refundable, including for unused time or missed cancellations.
We only consider refund requests for the most recent charge and in cases of billing error or confirmed service issues.
Requests unrelated to service errors or active charges (e.g., forgetting to cancel) typically do not qualify for a refund.
Submitting a refund request does not cancel your subscription. You must manage the cancellation directly in your account settings to avoid future charges.
🔍 You can learn more about cancellation terms by reviewing our Terms of Service (see section "No Refund of Fees").
After cancellation: Illustration access
- Your account moves to the free BioRender Basic plan.
- You’ll still see all your illustrations, but only 5 can be opened or edited at a time.
- You can re-subscribe any time to restore full access.
