Inviting members to your organization

When it comes to inviting members to your organization’s license, the options available to you are determined by your license type. We recommend reaching out to your account manager to confirm the best way to invite users to your organization. 

Portal link for invitations

• You will receive a portal link specific to your organization.
• For some licenses, auto-membership may be enabled, allowing users to automatically join your license upon logging in through the portal.
• Users who already have a BioRender account should click “Already have an account? Log In” instead of signing up again.
• If appropriate, members can update their email address to align with their institutional email.
• If a user is transitioning from another institutional license and needs assistance, they should contact Support (support@biorender.com) for next steps.

Inviting members directly (license dependent)

If your organization’s license allows direct email invitations, you will see this option in your Admin panel settings. This method lets you:

1. Invite members individually by email.
2. Import a list by uploading a CSV file.
3. Re-invite members if needed.
4. If auto-membership is enabled, anyone with the portal link and meeting the set criteria can access a seat.

Single sign-on (SSO) integration

For organizations using Single Sign-On (SSO):

• SSO Portal Page: Members are directed to an SSO login page via the portal.
• Active Directory Group Management: If your organization manages access via Active Directory (AD), new members are automatically added based on AD group inclusion—manual invitations are not necessary.
• Inviting Users with SSO: If your organization allows manual invites, you can send invitations normally. However, invited users must log in via the SSO portal, and access must be granted by an Admin through Active Directory.
