How to update your role

You can update your role from your profile settings.

Steps

1. Click your name in the upper right corner of BioRender.
2. Click "Edit Profile & Settings" under the General section.
3. Scroll to the About You section.
4. In the Role field, enter or update your role.
5. Click "Save changes".

Important note on downgrading a role

You can update your role to a higher-level role (for example, from Student to Postdoc or Postdoc to Researcher) directly in your profile settings.

If you need to downgrade your role to a different role type (Student to Undergrad or Researcher to Student), this cannot be updated directly in your profile. Please contact our support team for help with this change.
