Closing your account: deactivation or deletion

We're sorry to hear that you are considering leaving BioRender. Our goal is to ensure you have a seamless experience, even if you choose to deactivate or delete your account. Below are the steps and important information regarding both processes.

Deactivation vs. deletion: What's the difference?

Deactivation:

  • Your account will be inaccessible.
  • Your account email address will be removed from our mailing list.
  • Your data will be retained, so you can pick up where you left off if you choose to return.

Deletion:

  • Your account will be permanently deleted.
  • Your account email address will be removed from our mailing list.
  • All files and account details will be permanently removed.
  • This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered, and all your data will be permanently removed.

Steps to deactivate your account

  1. Send an email to our support team (support@biorender.com) from the email address associated with your BioRender account
  2. Include a request for account deactivation and the reason you are seeking to deactivate your account.
  3. Our team will process your request and confirm once the account has been deactivated.
