You asked we listened - BioRender figures can now be copied and pasted into PowerPoint using our new BioRender for PowerPoint Add-in!
Follow these steps to effectively utilize your figures in PowerPoint:
- Ensure the PowerPoint add-in is installed using this link.
- From your illustration, click "Copy to PowerPoint".
- Paste your copied figure into a PowerPoint slide using the Ctrl-V/command-V keyboard shortcut.
- You can select "Edit in BioRender" to open BioRender and make changes to your figure, and "Update Image" to see these changes reflected in your PowerPoint presentation.
- Additional settings below allow you to make your figure's background transparent, or share your presentation with colleagues via a collaboration link.

The add-in is optimized for compatibility with the following versions of PowerPoint:
- Office on Windows: Version 2208 (Build 15601.20230) or higher.
- Office on Mac: Version 16.64.804.0 or higher.
- Office on the Web: While supported, please note that it offers limited functionality.
For the best experience, we strongly recommend using the add-in with Office on Windows or Office on Mac.
Note: If you are on BioRender Basic (our free option) you will have access to two file updates per month. If you are seeking unlimited usage, upgrade to one of our Premium plans!
