Note: The PowerPoint add-in is incompatible with LTSC versions of PowerPoint.
Follow these steps to effortlessly install the BioRender Add-in:
- Use this link to access the BioRender for PowerPoint Add-in through the Microsoft AppSource.
- Select “Get it now” and you will be prompted to sign in to AppSource using an organizational, personal or Microsoft account. Once signed in, confirm your details by clicking "Get it now" once again.
- You will then be redirected to Microsoft 365 to complete the installation process. Get started with the add-in by choosing "Open in PowerPoint".
- After opening PowerPoint, click on "Trust this add-in." The BioRender button will now appear on the far right-hand side of the Home menu.
- Congratulations! You are now ready to use the add-in for adding and updating your BioRender figures.

The add-in is optimized for compatibility with the following versions of PowerPoint:
- Office on Windows: Version 2208 (Build 15601.20230) or higher.
- Office on Mac: Version 16.64.804.0 or higher.
- Office on the Web: While supported, please note that it offers limited functionality.
For the best experience, we strongly recommend using the add-in with Office on Windows or Office on Mac.
Note: If you are on BioRender Basic (our free option) you will have access to two file updates per month. If you are seeking unlimited usage, upgrade to one of our Premium plans!
