Now that you’ve successfully installed the new BioRender for PowerPoint Add-in. This guide will walk you through using the BioRender Add-in for PowerPoint. From logging in and adding files to editing and updating your figures, follow these steps to make the most of this add-in within PowerPoint.
Step 1: Log into your BioRender account
- Open PowerPoint and access the BioRender Add-in.
- Log into your BioRender account. For institutional accounts, select the "Log in with SSO" option.
Step 2: Add a file to your PowerPoint slide
- Once logged in, click on "Add File" to insert a figure from your BioRender gallery directly into your slide.
- Choose the file you’d like to add, and if desired, make the background transparent for better integration with your presentation.
Step 3: Edit your figure with Quick Edit.
- Need adjustments? double click on the image to open the 'mini-BioRender' editor.
- Click on "Quick Edit"
Step 4: Update the figure
- A window will pop up where you can make edits to your figure.
✨ Good to know: On the BioRender Basic plan? You can access up to two file updates per month. Unlimited updates are available on Premium plans—perfect for frequent presenters and researchers working across multiple slide decks.
Confirm compatibility
The BioRender PowerPoint add-in is compatible with the following PowerPoint versions:
- Windows: Version 2208 (Build 15601.20230) or higher
- Mac: Version 16.64.804.0 or higher
- Office on the Web: Supported but with limited functionality
For the best experience, it’s recommended to use the add-in with PowerPoint on Windows or Mac.
