We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter while saving your illustrations or experiencing lost work. We understand the frustration that can arise from such issues, and we are committed to helping you resolve them promptly. To assist you in addressing this matter, please review the following article which outlines step-by-step instructions that may prove helpful in resolving the issue.

If you still have the tab open with your unsaved illustration:

  1. Open the same figure in a new tab

  2. Check to see if your content is up to date (e.g. Saved)

  3. If it is saved, then make a copy of this file (go to File, Make a Copy)

  4. If it is not up to date (saved) in the new tab please keep the tab open and keep trying to save

If you have already closed the tab with your illustration it is unlikely that the content can be recovered. As long as you follow the steps below, you should not experience the same issue:

  1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome or Update Google Chrome

  2. Add app.biorender.com to your list of "always active" sites in Chrome (instructions here)

  3. Log out and close all BioRender tabs across all devices

  4. Restart your browser

  5. Log back into BioRender using Google Chrome

These steps seem to allow you to continue to work without running into this issue again. Please ensure as you are working that you:

  • Never close a tab or window without manually saving and logging out

  • Save and Log out if you are going to be away from your device
