Creating a link

All BioRender files can be shared via an invite link that anyone can access and use to collaborate on files.

From the Gallery

  1. On the file you wish to share, click on the more button "..."

  2. Select "Share"

  3. Set the preferred permissions for the invite link

    1. Edit: Anyone with the link can edit the file (Note: must have a BioRender account)

    2. View: Anyone with the link can only view the file

    3. No Access: Anyone who previously had access via the link will no longer have access to view or edit the file

  4. Copy the link via the "Copy link" button

  5. Paste the link wherever you would like to share with other.

From the Editor

  1. Select "Share"

  3. Copy the link via the "Copy link" button

  4. Paste the link wherever you would like to share with other.

Updating an invite link

If you would like to change the permissions on an invite link you can do so by going into the invite link settings by following the steps in sending an invite link.

If the link permissions are updated, all users with the previous link will see the newly updated permission via the same link.

Frequently asked questions

How can I delete an invite link?

Invite links cannot be deleted without deleting the file however you can edit the permission on the link settings to "No access" and anyone with the link previously will be denied access.

What files can I send invite links to?

If the colleague you are sending the link to, does not have a BioRender account, illustration and poster previews are viewable via invite links. However, slide previews will display only the first slide on the preview page. Your colleague must create an account or log in to view the full slide deck.
