Publishing in a journal while using BioRender's free trial: What you need to know

BioRender’s free trial allows users to explore the platform’s features, but it comes with publishing restrictions. You cannot publish in journals or other publications while on a free trial. However, if you need to publish, you can start your subscription early by following these steps!

Steps to end you free trial early

1. Accessing Account Settings

  • Click your name in the top-right corner of the BioRender interface.
  • Select "Account" from the dropdown menu.

2. Navigating to Plan & Billing

  • In the left-hand menu, click on "Plan & Billing."
  • Locate the grey box outlining publishing rights and icon requests.

3. Initiating the Subscription

  • Click "Start Plan Now" within the grey box.
  • When the confirmation pop-up appears, click "Start Plan Now" again to confirm.
  • Your subscription is now active, and you will have publishing rights for journals and other academic purposes.
