BioRender AI’s Quick Edit (Beta) helps you quickly customize your graphs using natural-language instructions. Describe the changes you want to make, and BioRender AI applies them for you, reducing the need to manually customize individual graph settings.
Your underlying data will remain unchanged when you use BioRender AI to customize a graph. We never read your data, change what your graph says, or train our models on what you upload.
Customize graphs without all the clicking
Instead of manually adjusting individual settings, describe how you'd like your graph to look.
You can ask BioRender AI to update elements such as:
- Colors
- Labels
- Axes
- Data point styles
- The appearance of specific datasets or treatments
For example, try prompts such as:
- “Make the colors grayscale, except keep compound B in red.”
- “Change all data points to diamond shapes.”
- “Make all the data points black that are less than y = 2 or greater than y = 98. ”
You can continue editing your graph manually at any time or undo changes with one click.

How to customize a graph with BioRender AI
- Open a previous graph or start a new graph in BioRender Graphing.
- Once you have your graph created, open BioRender AI from the graph editing panel by selecting “Customize graph” on the top right hand corner.
- The Quick edit box will open up in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Describe the changes you'd like to make.
- Submit your prompt.
- Review the changes to your graph and click on the arrow in the upper left-hand corner to undo if necessary.
Note: For the best results, be specific about what you'd like to change and where you want the change applied. For example, instead of: “Change the colors,” try “Make all data series grayscale except Treatment 1, which should be red.”
Your data remains unchanged
Using BioRender AI to customize your graph does not change your underlying data. AI applies customization changes without reading your data or changing what your graph says.
BioRender does not train its AI models on the data you upload.
You can also continue editing your graph manually or undo changes if you don't get the result you expected.

BioRender AI availability and usage
There is no additional cost to use BioRender AI (Beta) to customize your graphs. Graph customization with BioRender AI does not require or consume your AI usage.
