This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to edit and customize your graph. Once your graph has been automatically generated after selecting your graph family and adding data, you can modify various elements without needing to recreate it. You’ll learn how to:
- Adjust your dataset
- Change the appearance of your graph, axes, and legend
- Display statistical analyses directly on your graph
Accessing your graph file
To begin customizing your graph, click on its name in the left-hand side panel.
Customization options
Data appearance options
1. Click directly on your graph (e.g., on the bars). This opens the Data Appearance Options menu.
2. From this menu, you can:
-
- Change the color palette and border color
- Adjust border width and corner radius
- Modify the spacing between groups, within groups, and the graph margin
Axis customization
1. Click on the x-axis or y-axis to open the axis customization menu.
2. Adjust the axis line and label formatting.
3. For continuous (numerical) axes, you can modify the scale by:
-
- Manually entering minimum and maximum values
- Using the plus/minus buttons for incremental changes
Legend customization
1. Click on the legend to move it anywhere on the canvas.
2. Clicking the legend also opens the Legend Customization Menu, where you can:
-
- Adjust the position (left, right, top, bottom)
- Change text orientation and size
- Modify spacing
Title & Axis Title customization
1. Click on the title or any of the axis titles to open the customization menu.
2. You can:
-
- Toggle the title on or off
- Set styles and curves
- Adjust font, size, spacing, and color
How to display an analysis
Once you’ve run an analysis, you can display it on your graph. For ANOVAs, this applies only if pairwise comparisons (e.g., Tukey test) have been selected.
1. After running the analysis, a new menu option appears.
2. This drop-down menu lists all performed analyses.
3. Each option contains the pairwise contrasts selected for the given analysis.
4. By default, significant comparisons are preselected and automatically displayed on your graph.
5. You can customize the appearance the way analyses are displayed by clicking on the significance lines. This will open the following menu:
6. You can also display non-significant comparisons by checking the empty checkboxes.
7. Customize the analysis appearance by clicking on the significance lines, which opens the customization menu where you can:
-
- Modify how significance is displayed (brackets, font, line size, etc.)
