How to create a copy of your files

If you want to modify a file while preserving the original version, you can easily create a copy in BioRender. This guide explains how to duplicate a file from both the Canvas and the Gallery.

How to make a copy from the canvas

1. Open the file you want to copy in the Canvas.
2. In the top toolbar, click File > Make a Copy.
3. Choose one of the following options:
   • Click View Copy to open the new version.
   • Click Stay Here to remain in the original file.
4. The duplicate file will automatically be saved in your Gallery.

How to make a copy from the gallery

1. Navigate to your Gallery.
2. Locate the file you want to duplicate.
3. Click the three dots (•••) on the right-hand side of the file.
4. Select Make a Copy.
5. The new copy will be added to your Gallery.
