Spelling accuracy is vital when creating scientific illustrations, posters, or presentations. Typos can be easy to overlook and may affect the professionalism of your final product. BioRender’s built-in spellcheck helps you catch and correct spelling errors quickly, ensuring your work looks polished and credible.
How to spellcheck your work
BioRender automatically checks your spelling while you work. Here's how it functions:
- Spelling errors will be underlined in red.
- Right-click on the underlined word to view a list of suggested corrections.
- Click on the correct suggestion to automatically replace the word.
Managing words in your personal dictionary
Sometimes, BioRender may flag a correctly spelled word, such as a scientific term or acronym. In these cases, you can manage the word in your personal dictionary:
- Right-click on the flagged word.
- Select Add to personal dictionary to prevent it from being flagged in the future.
- To manage your dictionary, go to the Spellcheck dropdown in the top toolbar and click Open personal dictionary.
- From there, you can view, edit, or remove words as needed.
How to enable or disable spellcheck
If you prefer not to use the spellcheck feature:
- Click on Spellcheck in the top toolbar.
- Select Disable Spellcheck to turn it off.
- To re-enable, repeat the steps and select Enable Spellcheck.
