How to quickly find files with BioRender’s new central search

Our new central file search makes finding your files in BioRender faster and easier than ever. Search across all folders, apply multiple criteria, and locate exactly what you need in seconds. Less searching, more creating!

Search across all folders

You can now search for files across all folders, rather than a single folder. Find files wherever they are stored.

• Search across all folders at once, eliminating the need to remember exact file locations.
• Use advanced search filters like author name, email, icons, labels, text, and PDB references to quickly find relevant files.
• Spend less time searching and more time creating high-quality scientific figures.

Search beyond file names

New search parameters allow you to locate files based on more than just their names:

• Icons used (and synonyms) – Find files based on the icons within them.
• PDB names – Locate files using Protein Data Bank (PDB) references.
• Labels & annotations – Retrieve files based on labeled components.
• In-file text – Search for specific text elements within files.
• By author – Search using the author's name or email address.

Visual enhancements

• Wider search bar: Enhances usability, allowing for seamless searches across all folders.
• Organized results: Search results are now categorized into two tabs: Created by me and Shared with me
