Brand Kits empower organizations to maintain consistent branding across all BioRender projects. This feature allows admins to give members access to custom color palettes, fonts, and logos, ensuring seamless visual consistency.
Key benefits
- Consistency: Set default fonts, custom colors, and logos for all users, ensuring every figure aligns with your organization's branding.
- Streamlined Workflow: Your organization’s branding tools are available directly within BioRender, so your users can apply them without any extra steps.
How to set up your Brand Kits in the Admin Panel:
Step 1: Access the Brand Kit section
- Navigate to the "Brand Kit" section of the "Admin Panel".
- You can also find the Brand Kit setup option in an illustration when editing colors.
Step 2: Set up brand colors
- In the Brand Kit section, start by using the Color Picker or enter a specific Hex Code to add your organization’s colors.
- You can add up to 8 primary colors and 16 secondary colors
- You can also choose to rename the colors to meaningful names for better recognition by your organizational users.
Step 3: Upload brand fonts
- Next, upload up to 6 fonts to the Brand Kit. For each font, you can include up to 4 decorations: regular, bold, italic, and bold italic.
- If any font decorations are missing (e.g., bold or italic), an exclamation mark will appear on the font.
- You can upload the missing decorations later.
Step 4: Add your organization’s logos
You can now upload up to 6 organization logos (JPG, PNG, or SVG) to the Brand Kit. These logos will be available in the Icon Library menu within the editor as well as in the Brand Kit tab in the poster builder. This makes it easy for your users to add logos to figures and posters without extra steps.
💡 Note: Organizations that already have logos configured in their org icon category will need to re-add their logos to the Brand Kit to continue finding them in the icon library. Existing files will not be affected.
Once you’ve added your colors, fonts, and logos, these options will become available to your users when creating or editing figures. You can also verify the setup by creating an illustration and checking that your branding options are available for selection.
