Symbols in scientific illustrations simplify complex information, making it easier for everyone to grasp. Symbols can create a common language among researchers, helping people from different backgrounds understand key points. By using symbols, scientific work becomes more readable and visually appealing, making complex ideas accessible to a broader audience.
Add symbols to your illustration
- Insert a text box into your illustration, or select an existing section of text where you want the symbol to appear.
- From the top menu, click Insert Symbol.
- Browse and select the desired symbol from the menu.
- The selected symbol will appear within the text box.
Troubleshooting
Can't find the symbol you need?
- Use the search function in the symbol menu to locate it quickly.
- Some symbols may only appear in certain fonts—try switching fonts if one is missing.
