BioRender makes it easy to create tables for your scientific illustrations. Tables help present complex data clearly and visually. Learn how to create, customize, and insert tables in both your illustrations and Poster Builder.
Creating a table in your illustration
Follow these steps to add and customize a table in your BioRender illustration:
1. Search for "Table" or "Blank Table" in the icon library or templates.
2. Select a table icon or template that fits your needs.
3. If you want to modify the table elements, "Ungroup" the table.
4. Adjust the color of your table using the color presets if needed.
5. Fill in your table with the desired values:

- Delete any placeholder text that is not needed
- Add or duplicate text boxes or images inside the table
Adding a table to Poster Builder
To add a table in Poster Builder, follow the steps below:
1. Create your table as an illustration first by following the steps above.
2. Insert the completed table illustration into your poster.
3. Once inserted, you can edit the table directly from your poster.
Troubleshooting tips:
- If you cannot edit certain table elements, ensure the table is ungrouped first.
- If your colors donโt apply, double-check that youโve selected the correct layer of the table.
