How to start a free trial
- Create a BioRender account
- Sign up or log in to BioRender and access your Gallery.
- Select Free Trial
- From the blue banner in your Gallery, click "Upgrade" or go to the "Plan & Billing" tab.

- Select the Premium Plan that suits your needs.
4. Start the free trial
- Under your chosen plan, select "Free trial", choose a billing cycle, and click continue to payment.
5. Enter payment information
- Enter your payment details and click "Start free trial". You can begin using Premium features immediately!
❗Important note: After 14 days, accounts will auto-upgrade to a premium plan if not cancelled. Notifications will be sent to your email address to remind you before the trial ends.
What’s included
During the BioRender free trial, you have access to:
- High-Resolution Export: Download images in high resolution with transparent backgrounds, ideal for presentations and publication drafts.
- Unlimited Illustrations: Create as many illustrations as needed and add unlimited objects to your canvas.
- Watermark-Free Images: Export illustrations without a watermark, giving them a professional finish.

Limitations of the free trial
Publishing rights
The free trial does not include publishing rights, which restricts you from using trial-created images in official publications. Here’s what you can and cannot do:
- Allowed: Use illustrations in class presentations or assignments.
- Restricted: Publishing illustrations in peer-reviewed journals, conference posters, or any external distribution.

Can I publish images created during the free trial?
No, publishing rights are not included. You can use the images in non-published academic work, such as drafts, but not in any formal publications.
Can I cancel the free trial without being charged?
Yes, you can downgrade to the Basic plan anytime during the 14-day trial without incurring fees.
Do I need a coupon code for the free trial?
No coupon code is needed; a credit card is the only requirement for activation.
What if I forget to cancel the Free Trial and get upgraded?

Why can’t I activate the Free Trial?

Why can’t I access Premium features after starting my Free Trial?
Try logging out and back in to refresh your account. Still not seeing Premium tools? Visit your Plan & Billing tab to confirm your trial has been successfully activated.
