Not sure if your pamphlets are covered under your BioRender plan? Here’s a simple breakdown to help you understand what’s allowed when using BioRender illustrations in printed pamphlets—whether you’re creating educational materials for the community or producing pamphlets as part of a paid campaign. Use the guide below to see which plan fits your needs.
How to determine if you are on the correct plan
- Determine the purpose of your pamphlets:
- Educational, non-commercial pamphlets distributed for free
- Commercial pamphlets intended to generate revenue, promote a product or service, or involve paid distribution
- Check your BioRender subscription plan:
- Navigate to Account Settings in your BioRender dashboard
- Review your plan under the Plan & Billing tab
- Apply the correct licensing based on use:
-

- Upgrade if needed:
- Go to Profile and Settings > Plan & Billing > Upgrade Plan and select the Industry Plan if pamphlets serve a commercial purpose.
- Include the required credit:
- Add “Created with BioRender.com” in the pamphlet.
Important note: If you are already on a paid plan but need to switch (e.g. you’re on an academic plan but want to include the figures on a commercial pamphlet), the upgrade option will not be available. Please reach out to our Support team for assistance.
