A recent update to the Papers by ReadCube browser extension is causing it to interfere with the BioRender canvas and make it unresponsive. We’ve been in touch with their team, and they are actively working on a fix.
In the meantime, please follow the steps of this workaround carefully to restore functionality to the BioRender app:
- Open Google Chrome and go to your Extensions settings (chrome://extensions).
- Locate the Papers by ReadCube extension.
- Click Details under the extension listing.
- Scroll to Site access.
- Select the On click option.
6. Return to your BioRender tab and refresh the page.
If these steps do not work, please try disabling the extension entirely in Chrome or switch to a browser that does not have the Papers by ReadCube extension installed.
