What’s the Difference?
When sharing your illustrations in BioRender, you have two main options:
- Share – Collaborate on an illustration in real time.
- Send A Copy – Provide a separate copy of your illustration to someone else.
Share: Work together in real time
The Share button allows you to collaborate directly within BioRender. You can invite colleagues to edit the same illustration or give them view-only access. Changes made to the illustration are reflected for all collaborators.
Send A Copy: Create a separate version
The Send A Copy function generates a new version of your illustration for someone else. This version is independent—your original remains unchanged, and any edits made to the copy do not affect the original (or vice versa).
