Changing your BioRender premium plan

If you need to modify your BioRender Premium subscription, such as switching billing cycles or upgrading your plan, follow the steps outlined below: 

Changing from monthly to annual billing

Switching to annual billing can provide cost savings and uninterrupted access to premium features.

  1. Access account settings:

    • Click on your name in the top right corner.

    • Select "Edit profile & settings."

  2. Navigate to plan & billing:

    • On the left-hand side, click on "Plan & Billing."

  3. Switch billing cycle:

    • Click on "Switch billing cycle."

    • Follow the prompts to confirm the change.

Note: Your credit card on file will be automatically charged a prorated amount for the upgrade. If you need to update your credit card information before making this change, ensure your payment details are current.


Upgrading from individual to lab plan

Upgrading to a Lab plan allows for team collaboration and access to additional features.

  1. Access account settings:

    • Click on your name in the top right corner.

    • Select "Edit profile & settings."

  2. Navigate to plan & billing:

    • On the left-hand side, click on "Plan & Billing."

  3. Switch to team plan:

    • Click on "Switch to team plan."

    • Follow the prompts to complete the upgrade.

Note: A prorated charge for the upgrade will be applied to your credit card on file. Ensure your payment information is current before making this change. If you also need to update the credit card to be charged, kindly update your card information before switching your plan. Here's how you can update your credit card information. 


Other plan changes

Some of the other reasons you might need to change your plan might be:

  • If you moved from academia to industry, or vice versa
  • If your organization purchased a site-wide license and you no longer require your individual plan. See this article.
