Now that you’ve successfully installed the new BioRender for PowerPoint Add-in, follow these 5 easy steps to get started!

  1. Begin by logging into your personal or institutional BioRender account. If you're using an organizational Single Sign-On (SSO), simply select the 'Log in with SSO' option.

  2. Once you're logged in, click on Add File to effortlessly insert a file from your gallery directly into your PowerPoint slide.

  3. Choose the file you'd like to add to your slide. You also have the option to make the background of your figure transparent for that extra touch.

  4. If you happen to realize there are a few tweaks you'd like to make, no problem at all! Simply select Edit in BioRender and a new BioRender tab will instantly appear in your browser. You can make all the changes you need to your figure right there.

  5. To see your changes come to life in your PowerPoint presentation, just click the blue 'Update' button. Once all your changes have been applied, the 'Update' button will turn gray.

The add-in is optimized for compatibility with the following versions of PowerPoint:

  • Office on Windows: Version 2208 (Build 15601.20230) or higher.

  • Office on Mac: Version 16.64.804.0 or higher.

  • Office on the Web: While supported, please note that it offers limited functionality.

For the best experience, we strongly recommend using the add-in with Office on Windows or Office on Mac.
