Adding Superscripts and Subscripts to Your Text

A guide to adding superscripts and subscripts to text in your illustrations

Superscripts and subscripts are used in a variety of settings including mathematical formulas, chemical formulas, footnotes/annotations, and more. The superscript option is shown on the left, and the subscript option is shown on the right in the image below.

Here is how to add them to your text:

  1. Select the text that you would like to superscript or subscript

  2. Click on the appropriate option in the properties panel

Note: to revert to normal text, click sub or superscript a second time.
