What should I attach as reference images?

While our team of Science Illustrators will do their own research to create your accurate custom icon, we need your help getting started. Depending on complexity, we typically require 3-5 reference images to work on your request. 

Reference images should be in the desired viewpoint with all necessary structures and key features in clear view. 

Types of reference images

We ask that you submit a variety of reference images to help guide our illustrators. Here are 3 types of reference images we encourage you to attach, whenever possible.

Qualities of a good reference image

A good reference image is scientifically accurate and easily legible. When attaching a reference, please make sure that each image meets the following criteria:
