BioRender’s illustration team has generated a number of pre-set color options for each icon, making it easy to design a visually cohesive figure. You can change the color of an icon at any time while illustrating.
Changing the color of a single icon
- Select the icon you’d like to change.
- From the top menu, click Icon Color, then select your preferred color.
Changing the color of a grouped icon
If you’re working with grouped icons, you can change the color of individual components.
- Double-click on the grouped icon to enter the group, and select the individual icon you want to change.
- From the top menu, click Icon Color, then select your preferred color.
Bulk-edit “grouped” icons of the same type
If you’re working with a group of the same icon, you can modify their colors at once. Simply click on the group and choose a new icon color from the top menu.
Bulk-edit individual icons of the same type
To edit a number of the same type of icons at once:
- Right-click on one of the icons you want to change.
- From the drop-down, click on Select All Same Icons.
- From the top menu, click Icon Color and choose your preferred color.
Don’t see the color you want? You can request another color using the Request a Custom Icon feature.
